Dermot O’Leary: I want a Scot in X Factor final
DERMOT O’Leary eyed up the talent as X Factor auditions hit Glasgow — then urged a Scot to make the final.
The telly hunk, 39, entertained hundreds of wannabes who had queued for hours to perform. And he called on hopefuls to end Scotland’s poor record of no top three finishes since Leon Jackson won in 2007. Dermot said: “They always deliver in terms of the crowd in Glasgow — they’re always up for it and it would be great to get a finalist from Glasgow. We always get a few people who shine in Glasgow early on but never seem to make it through.” Crowds formed outside the SECC at 5am and there were the usual collection of bizarre turns on show.
