The X Factor 2013 judges – and host Dermot O’Leary – have revealed the songs they’d sing if they were to audition for the talent contest.
The stars were out in force at London’s May Fair Hotel yesterday for a press conference to promote its new series, which begins this weekend. After being asked what their audition tacks would be, O’Leary picked ‘Rule The World’, one of judge Gary Barlow and his band Take That’s biggest hits. “I think I could do that justice, Gary, not many key changes,” joked the 40-year-old presenter. “Mine would be ‘I’m Too Sexy’,” responded Nicole Scherzinger, with returning panellist Sharon Osbourne announcing: “Mine is ‘The Bitch Is Back’!” Meanwhile, Gary said his choice would be Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive’ – and Louis Walsh agreed, exclaiming: “You just picked it!” Series ten has seen the introduction of a new ‘double auditions’ format. On Saturdays, viewers will see hopefuls try out for the panel in closed audition rooms – which producers have brought back for the first time since 2008. Those who get at least three yesses will then perform
